The American Computer Science League (ACSL) is one of the most established computer science competitions for K-12 students in the U.S., drawing nearly 10,000 participants worldwide each year - with sponsors including Google. Top STEM high schools field their own ACSL teams, using it as a training ground for the USA Computing Olympiad (USACO); in fact, most of AAA's current USACO team members started out as ACSL competitors.
Since the 2023 season, Ascend Advancement Academy has fielded an Elementary Division team every year and won first place in the New York State team competition every single time. Most of our competitors have gone on to earn invitations to the Individual All-Star Finals, bringing home multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals.
