This course is an introduction to the problem-solving strategies required for success on the AMC 8 test. Designed for less experienced students who are just getting started on middle school math contests, the class targets a realistic first milestone: 15 points and an Achievement Award. Students focus on the accessible first half of the exam, building the strategies and confidence needed to approach it methodically.
What students will develop
- Core AMC 8 problem-solving strategies for the exam's first 15 questions
- Time management and pacing for a 40-minute contest format
- Confidence approaching unfamiliar problems without prior contest experience
