Advanced Geometry: Deepening Geometric Reasoning

Grade 8-10 | Competition Focus: AMC 10 / AMC 12 / AIME

This course extends Basic Geometry into the more advanced territory that AMC 10, AMC 12, and AIME problems demand. Students explore 3-dimensional geometry, transformations, analytic geometry, basic trigonometry, and formal geometric proof - moving beyond visual intuition into rigorous, structured reasoning.

What students will develop

  • Ability to reason about and calculate with 3-dimensional shapes
  • Comfort applying transformations and analytic (coordinate) geometry
  • Foundational trigonometry skills applied to geometric problems
  • Skill constructing and following formal geometric proofs

Format: Small-group instruction with guided practice, extending Basic Geometry and preparing students for AMC 10, AMC 12, and AIME-level competition.
