This project-based course turns Minecraft into a hands-on coding lab. Instead of just playing, students build real projects - automated farms, custom mini-games, working redstone circuits - by writing and debugging code that controls the world around them. Along the way, they learn to break big ideas into small logical steps, a skill that transfers directly to any future programming language.
What students will develop
- Core coding concepts: sequencing, loops, conditionals, and variables
- Computational thinking and step-by-step problem decomposition
- Debugging skills - testing code, spotting errors, and fixing them independently
- Creative confidence, by designing and building their own original projects
Format: Small-group, project-based instruction where each student designs, builds, and presents their own original Minecraft creation using real code.
